Just like us, your pets can develop plaque, tartar, gum disease and painful dental problems. Without treatment, dental disease can worsen over time, causing pain and can also allow harmful bacteria to enter the bloodstream and potentially affect vital organs such as the heart and kidneys.

Comprehensive Pet Dentistry.

Our dental services are only performed under general anaesthetic. This allows your pet to remain comfortable and stress-free while our experienced Veterinarians can perform a thorough comprehensive oral health exam, perform full mouth dental radiographs, and carry out a professional dental clean both above and below the gumline.

Some signs of dental disease:

  • Bad breath (halitosis)

  • Inflamed gums

  • Drooling

  • Discolored or loose teeth

  • Difficulty chewing or eating

  • Changes in behaviour

Dental Staging.

In most cases, your pet’s dental will be completed in two stages (the timeline can vary but on average we perform these 4 weeks apart). This allows our Veterinarians to carefully assess your pet’s teeth and gums and create a tailored treatment plan, once a comprehensive exam following full mouth dental radiographs are performed.

Staging the dental treatment into two procedures can help ensure your pet is not under anaesthetic for longer than necessary, while still allowing us to provide thorough and appropriate dental care.

Dental staging also gives your pet’s mouth time to heal between procedures and allows us to reassess their progress before completing any further treatment.

Our priority is always your pet’s comfort, safety and long-term dental health.

Dental Home Care.

Professional dental cleaning is an important part of your pet’s dental health, but what you do at home matters too! Following their dental procedure, we’ll provide practical advice and recommend suitable dental care options, so you feel confident continuing their dental care at home.
